Antique Journeyman 11 Drawer Wood Tool Chest Engineer Machinist Gerstner Style

Paper label marked "Senator" on bottom of a drawer-unknown if this is identifying mark. No name plates or other markings found. Made in the Gerstner style, but cannot confirm maker. Excelsior lock does not have a key.

The pins for securing front panel are in place and work. The red felt lining may not be original.

This antique chest is not without defect and has what I consider to be age-appropriate wear. The wood has a split on top and back. A couple of the tongue and groove joints are cracked/stressed. The drawers are all intact, but they do not all slide smoothly.

Most prominent scratches are found on top of the lid. The front panel that locks in place has weak joints on one side when you wiggle it. The leather handle is intact. The item feels sturdy and is structurally intact. Through pictures and these notes, I have tried to capture the condition of this item, but should this not be considered an all-inclusive accounting.
